Writing has more steps than a ten story building.
These steps include plotting (aka outlining of sorts), writing, revision, editing, more revision, more editing, more….more….more…until it is deemed ready to submit by a group of loving beta readers.
Shortly thereafter, the diligent writer proceeds to write, revise and edit a query letter, synopsis, marketing plan, proposal, cover letter, or what have you depending on the type of submission.
At times, a rockin’ query creates the need to once again revise and re-edit. When the submission package is perfect (which is a relative term in the publishing industry), the now semi-crazy writer sends off the manscript to heavily researched agents or editors. All told, hair grays, crow’s feet appear and writer’s spread spreads by the time a project goes from conception to submission.
Acceptance is a whole ‘nother sky scraper.
So why do we put ourselves through this labor intensive process? Love. Plain and simple. I love writing. I love my stories and I love the whole, zany and never-ending, stair-climb to success.
I have included cover blurbs of my completed manuscripts to help you understand why I strap on my writing shoes every day, which technically, consist of a very nappy and colorful pair of slippers.

Jody,
This is the first day that I have sat down to read some of your blogs and I am excited about it! Your writing is, of course, well done and interesting. I would expect no less. It will be fun to check in occasionally to see the progress you are making. Good luck!
Carol.
Thanks for stopping in, Carol. I love writing and hope someday to do the craft justice.
I hope after the holidays to get my project summaries up. It can take some time.
